A Farmer, Fouche attested for the South African Artillery in December, 1944. Although only 5’5”, that didn’t stop Henry from being posted to Italy via Cairo. Posted to the SAA reserve, Fouche seems to have had issues with his health, spending time in hospital, and even being rejected for service by the 1/6th SA field Artillery regiment. Definitely an interesting group and worth of further reading.
This full entitlement group of three medals is accompanied by an original South African Artillery cap badge with the rare spinning wheel, and photocopies of his service records.
