Description

John David Victor Richardson, born in 1919 was a Clerk before the war, attesting on the 17th of May, 1940.

A Staff Sargent, Richardson, initially was stationed at Q Services Corps Depot Pretoria, however, was transferred over to a Prisoner of War camp in South Africa in March 1941. He was then transferred to the South African Airforce base depot and received the new rank of Flight Sargent. He spent some time with the SAAF 21st Squadron in September 1944 in Italy and received a promotion to Warrant Officer II. He was posted back to the SAAF base depot in May of 1945. He was then discharged in April, 1946.
