Private Daniel Jacobs Fourie,
Born in 1888, Daniel Jacobs Fourie was a Farmer before the war, leaving behind his wife for service in the 1st Reserve brigade, South African Army.
In October 1941 Fourie spent a period in Hospital, and again in August 1942. In December 1942 he was punished for violation section 15 (2) and 8 (2) of the military discipline code. Fourie spent the war on the home front, spending time in a variety of reserve units across South Africa. Fourie was discharged in June 1946. This single comprises of 50% of his entitlement.
